Cherchesov called Zenit head Semak the best coach in Russia
The head coach of the Kazakhstan national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, named the best coach in Russia. His words are quoted by Match TV.
Cherchesov called Zenit head Sergei Semak the best coach in Russia. “For me, the first one is always the best. If Baltika were third, then I would have said: “The champion is Semak, but Ignashevich reached this result with a non-championship team,” he said.
Semak has headed Zenit since 2018. Together with the team, the specialist became the Russian champion six times, won the national Cup twice and won four Super Cups.
“Baltika” under the leadership of Sergei Ignashevich took the penultimate 15th place in the Russian Championship and was relegated to the First League. At the same time, the team reached the final of the Russian Cup, where they lost to Zenit. After this, Ignashevich left his post.
