Former US President Donald Trump spoke about former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Championship Rounds quotes him on social media X with a link to a politician’s post on Truth Social.
“Khabib finished his career with a record of 29-0 and did not lose a single round. He’s probably the greatest fighter of all time,” Trump said. He spoke about his meeting with the athlete at the UFC tournament in New Jersey, calling Nurmagomedov a very smart guy who has a great future ahead of him.
Nurmagomedov met with Trump at UFC 302. The Russian’s manager, Rizvan Magomedov, shared that the men briefly discussed the situation in Palestine.
The main event of the evening was the fight between Islam Makhachev and American Dustin Poirier. The Russian won by submission in the fifth round and defended his UFC lightweight title for the third time. Nurmagomedov was in the belt holder’s corner during the fight.
