Egypt counted on two goals early on to settle the game. Trezeguet scored three and seven minutes into the match. Lassina Traoré even pulled one back for Burkina Faso 11 minutes into the second half, but it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
Algeria could also have maintained 100% in the match against Guinea, but ended up losing 2-1. Camara and Sylla scored the winning goals, while Baldé pulled one back.
