The Dauphiné stage neutralized due to a pileup
The fifth stage of Dauphine that was disputed between Amplepuis and Saint-Priest, of 167 kilometers, has been neutralized to the finish line as a result of a massive fall that affected more than 30 runners, including the general favorites and the Dutch Dylan Van Baarle and Steven Kruijswijkboth from Visma Lease a Bike, transported by ambulance.
The lack of ambulances forced the race director to neutralize the stage, without being able to guarantee the best safety conditions.
This way the peloton will ride 21 km to the finish linethere will be no winner and the times from the previous day will be maintained.
The leader was involved in the fall that occurred during the descent of the Cota de Bel Air (4a). Remco Evenepoel and the Slovenian Primoz Roglicamong others.
