After playing at Lyon and Rennes, Bruno Génésio is the new coach of Lille, the French club announced this Wednesday, following the departure of Portuguese Paulo Fonseca, who was rumored to be at Milan.
Free on the market since leaving Rennes in November, Génésio arrives at Lille with a two-year contract to manage his third French club in the First Division.

The club wants the coach to continue investing in the youth categories, from which recent revelations Lucas Chevalier and Leny Yoro emerged.
“Bruno will allow us to continue the work started two seasons ago,” Lille president Olivier Letang said in a statement.
The 57-year-old coach’s first objective is to take Lille to the Champions League. The team will compete in the third round of the classification phase.
