“We cannot put the name of a player who belongs to another club on the shirts,” a Real Madrid source explained to AFP.

This did not stop the Spanish club’s fans from displaying team shirts with Mbappé’s name on the numbers 7 and 10 (which he wore for PSG and the French national team), although everything indicates that the striker will wear number 9, without an owner. since the departure of Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid will also have to wait a few weeks to be able to use the image of Mbappé, one of the most popular players in the world, in its official store at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The club hopes to amortize the signing costs through the various revenues generated by the French striker from the sale of tickets, shirts, sponsors, etc.

Despite arriving without paying a termination fine, Mbappé is expected to earn an annual salary of approximately 15 million euros net (R$86 million at current exchange rates), in addition to gloves estimated by the Spanish press at 100 million euros (R$572 million) .
