Garazi Murua announces that he is leaving football

The player of Athletic Garazi Murua has decided to end his football career after ten seasons in the top category and 178 games. She arrived in Lezama in 2011 for the reserve team at cadet age, and left at 29 years old being one of the last league champions. Central specialist in penalty kicks, she has eight goals to her credit.
The native of Getxo kicked the ball for the first time at the Ikastola Andra Mari and at the Bizkerre FT, and at the age of 15 she began playing with the B zurigorri. Before reaching the first team, he spent five months in the university league with East Tennessee State University in the United States.
His debut in the top category came in the second round of the 2014-15 season, led by Juanlu Fuentes against UD Collerense. In the following season, the red and white team shone and won the league title while Garazi Muruawho played all the games of that successful season, settled in First Division.
Since then, and until a herniated disc stopped the defense in its tracks and even made her undergo surgery in March 2023, Garazi has worn the captain’s armband of the first team for many years.
Next Sunday, June 16 (5:00 p.m.) and in San Mamés, the fans will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the footballer.
