In a draw held in Luque, Paraguay, Conmebol defined how the Copa Sudamericana will be seeded from the round of 16 of the competition onwards. Corinthians will face the winner of Playoff A, between Bragantino and Barcelona de Guayaquil.

Before the round of 16 stage, playoffs will take place between the second-placed teams in the Sudamericana and the third-placed teams in the Libertadores brackets. The best second place in Sula faces the worst third in Liberta. The second-best runner-up in the South American Championship will face the second-worst third-place team in the Libertadores and so on. With the uncertainty of Internacional’s Group C, only two playoff clashes have already been defined: Athletico-PR x Cerro Porteño and Bragantino x Barcelona de Guayaquil.
The playoff clashes will be defined after Internacional’s two remaining games in the competition. This Tuesday, Colorado will face Tomayapo, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time). On Saturday, Inter duel with Delfín, at the same time.
The draw held this Monday defined the crossover between the winners of the playoffs and the South American teams already classified for the round of 16. Among the Brazilians who advanced first in the groups were Cruzeiro, Fortaleza and Corinthians. If Timão and Leão do Pici advance against the winners of their playoffs, they will face each other in the quarterfinals of the competition.
The South American playoff games are scheduled to take place between July 17th and 24th. The round of 16 of the competition will take place on August 14th and 21st. The grand final of the South American Championship is scheduled for November 23rd, in Asunción, Paraguay.
