Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva reached the 1/8 finals of Roland Garros. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

In the third round match, the 17-year-old athlete beat American Python Stearns. The meeting lasted 1 hour 7 minutes and ended in two sets with a score of 6:2, 6:1.

Andreeva’s next opponent will be ex-Russian, now representing France, Varvara Gracheva. Also from the Russians, Anastasia Potapova and Elina Avanesyan will play in the 1/8 finals.

For Andreeva, this result is the best at the French Open. She also repeated her best achievement at the Grand Slam tournaments (reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open 2024).
