Tennis player Kyrgios called the behavior of Russian Rublev at Roland Garros shameful
Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios on his page on the social network X commented on the behavior of Russian Andrei Rublev in the lost third round match at Roland Garros against Italian Matteo Arnaldi.
The athlete called the behavior of the Russian shameful. He felt that the journalists reacted too softly to Rublev’s action, although they could have pointed out his mistakes.
Rublev lost to Arnaldi on May 31. The Italian representative won with a score of 7:6 (8:6), 6:2, 6:4. The Russian threw his racket onto the court several times during the match and, at the end of the second set, kicked the bench several times.
Rublev is ranked sixth in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. The athlete was eliminated from Roland Garros in the third round for the second time in a row. His best achievement in the tournament is the quarterfinals, which he reached twice: in 2020 and 2022.
