Ma³ysz says: “Kubacki is not here”. And Kubacki is here and he replied

The crisis of Polish jumpers lasted for the last three weeks and its greatest symbol was the disposition. From taking places on the podiums of the World Cup to problems with entering competitions. And all this is spiced with visible problems with technology.

However, there is a twist in the jumper’s situation. – We found one point that he could work on today. And we’ll see how it comes out. These are details. And you have to focus on them to make this machine move – Michal Doleżal was asked about Kubacki’s situation before the Polish championships.

– What the coach saw before the competition was given to me. And it actually looked completely different in my jumps. This is a very good tip, it is about the inrun position. I have a bit of joy in jumping, I feel that it is fine – assessed Kubacki after the competition. He finished fifth in them after jumps on 133.5 and 132 meters. And the improvement was really visible. – During the warm-up before the competition, in the training hall, minor adjustments were made to the access to the threshold and it worked – added Apoloniusz Tajner in an interview for Sport.pl.

– Finally it started to move in the right direction. You can feel energy and rotation in these jumps that it wants to fly. This is a very big positive of that day, that was the goal: to treat the Polish championship as training and focus on the task. I was sticking to it, without much pressure on the result. And he wasn’t the worst. These jumps were practically the best of the season so I have reason to be optimistic. On the other hand: how long such a crisis can go on! – Kubacki said.

He also explained that this is not the most difficult moment in his career, but it does not mean that it will be easy to recover from the problems of the previous weeks for good. – I have had more severe crises and I was recovering from them, even if it was a bit different in this case, because I was falling from above. Everything is to be worked out. The most important question is how long it will take – noted Kubacki.

– I have already experienced mine in my life, many a hole and many joys in this sport. I believe I know how to behave in this sport. Now we had a period that was neither happy nor easy for anyone. For me personally, also and more than once after a competition it happened that a person had the thoughts he had without going into details. I know that such moments have to be endured, and that anger after the competition must be thrown away, chewed, because it cannot and should not be suppressed. After that, however, it’s best to focus on what needs to be done and to make it turn out to be on the right track. I chose this tactic and I think I’m coming back to these good tracks – added the jumper.

Małysz criticized Kubacki. He got an answer

– David is not here at the moment. In my opinion, he should not go to the Four Hills Tournament – he said recently about Kubacki. When asked about the words of the PZN director for jumping, the jumper replied that he did not pass them on directly to him. – He didn’t say it to my face. We’ll see if he dares – the jumper laughed.

Kubacki does not pay too much attention to the criticism of his last starts. – I can talk to someone if he stands in front of me and tells me this in person, directly. This is a completely different conversation. But apart from the votes of critics, there are also fans who send messages to support me and I would like to thank you very much for them – he said.

Now he will probably want to confirm his better performance at the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament, for which he was finally called up. Kubacki will go there as one of the six Polish jumpers – apart from him, there will also be Kamil Stoch, Paweł Wąsek, Piotr Żyła, Andrzej Stękała and Jakub Wolny. The tournament will start in Oberstdorf. Qualifications are scheduled for December 28, followed by the first competition a day later.
