West Ham, from England, reached an agreement with Flamengo this week for the purchase of 28-year-old defender Fabrício Bruno. The athlete will be the first signing of the club’s new coach, Spanish Julen Lopetegui, according to the English newspaper The Guardian.
The English point out that the deal for the defender is worth 15 million pounds (around R$99 million at current prices), 12.5 million of which is definitive, and 2.5 million in bonuses.
Flamengo acquired Fabrício Bruno from Bragantino in February 2022 for approximately R$15 million. He won two titles with Rubro-Negro, the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Libertadores, both in the same year he was hired.
Fabrício never played outside of Brazil. The player made his debut for the Brazilian team in the friendly against England, on March 23 of that year.
