Member of the Ukrainian national army hand-to-hand combat team Sergei Kuznetsov received a Russian passport. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.

Kuznetsov previously served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). After being hospitalized and extorted for treatment, he decided to become an athlete in order to be able to travel abroad. As part of the Ukrainian national team, the athlete went to Poland for the European Championship, from where he escaped to Russia through the Czech Republic.
Earlier, the Ukrainian footballer of the Moscow “Torpedo” Ruslan Chervyakov spoke about renouncing his citizenship for the sake of performing in Russia. The striker explained that according to Russian law he can have two passports, but he wants to play for the Russian national team, so he renounced his sports citizenship of Ukraine.
