Playing with Mbappé would be “very good”, admits Bellingham

English midfielder Jude Bellingham, from Real Madrid, said this Monday that playing with Kylian Mbappé would be “very good”, although there is still nothing official about the Frenchman’s transfer.

Mbappé is expected to arrive at the Merengue club when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends, on June 30, to form a trio with Brazilian Vinícius Júnior and Bellingham himself.

“I’m not the one who puts together the team, much less the one who makes the signings, but Kylian Mbappé… what a player! Who wouldn’t want to have someone as good as him at their side?”, declared the English midfielder to journalists at media day before the Champions League final.

“I don’t want to put more pressure on the situation, I know it must be difficult for him to have everyone always talking about him, but it would be really good,” Bellingham added.

Against Borussia Dortmund, at Wembley, next Saturday, Real Madrid will be looking for their 15th Champions League title, one of the few that Mbappé does not yet have on his resume.

The 25-year-old Frenchman said goodbye to PSG last Saturday, with the Parisian team’s victory over Lyon (2-1) in the French Cup final.

“All I wanted was to end things well with my club, with a trophy,” declared Mbappé.
