The winner of the nomination was announced during the “Heroes of RPL” award. Also nominated for the award were ex-Krasnodar coach Vladimir Ivich and Rostov coach Valery Karpin.

Voting took place in three stages. Initially, the nominees were determined by journalists, then by fans. The decisive votes were cast by the captains and head coaches of the RPL teams, the league president and the legends of the tournament.
Dynamo lost to Krasnodar (0:1) in the last match of the season. The team was unable to maintain its lead in the standings and became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship. The winner of the tournament was Zenit.
