Play-offs between RPL and First League clubs will be held on May 29 and June 1
The Russian Premier League (RPL) has announced the schedule of play-off matches between clubs in the top and first leagues.
From the RPL, Paris Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg Ural, who took 13th and 14th places respectively, will take part in the play-offs. The First League will be represented by Togliatti’s Akron and Tula’s Arsenal, who are third and fourth in the First League. The first matches will take place on May 29. The return matches will take place on June 1.
The winner of the Russian championship was St. Petersburg Zenit. The team won the title for the sixth time in a row. Krasnodar took second place. Dynamo Moscow took third place.
At the end of the season, Baltika Kaliningrad and Sochi were relegated from the RPL. Instead of them next season, Khimki near Moscow and Dynamo Makhachkala will perform.
