Midfielder Bernard, signed by Atlético-MG, said goodbye to Panathinaikos this Saturday with the Greek Cup title, achieved after a 1-0 victory over Aris. The Brazilian commented on the achievement and his time at the club.
“I am very happy with this achievement and being able to give this joy to the fans who have always treated me with great affection and respect. I thank everyone at the club, management, technical committees, staff and athletes for this time together. It was an incredible experience that will be kept in my heart,” he said.

Bernard was one of Panathinaikos’ highlights this season. The midfielder played 52 games, scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists. In total, he has 13 goals and 15 passes to goal.
Now, Bernard will return to Atlético-MG after ten years of leaving. The Brazilian was one of Galo’s main names in the 2013 Libertadores title.
In addition to Atlético-MG and Panathinaikos, Bernard has experience with Democrat-MG, Shaktar Donetsk, from Ukraine, Everton, from England, and Al Sharjah, from the United Arab Emirates.
