Unai Simón, Athletic goalkeeper, won this Saturday, after the match against Rayo Vallecano, the Zamora award for the goalkeeper with the least goals scored in the 2023/2024 season by not conceding a goal at the Vallecas Stadium.

The winner is calculated from the coefficient between goals conceded and games played, but to calculate who will be the winner, some conditions must be taken into account. A goalkeeper must play at least 28 games with 60 minutes played to be eligible for Zamora.

Unai Simón is the fifth goalkeeper in Athletic history to win this award after Gregorio Blasco (1929/1930, 1933/1934 and 1935/1936), José María Echevarría (1940/1941), Raimundo Lezama (1946/1947) and José Ángel Iribar (1969/1970).
