Spaniard Rafael Nadal announced a possible retirement in a month

Multiple Grand Slam champion Spaniard Rafael Nadal announced his possible retirement in a month. Agence France-Presse reports this.

“Give me a little time, and maybe in a month I’ll say I’m stopping. There is a high probability that my last Roland Garros is ahead,” Nadal said. At the same time, he noted that he now feels better than a month ago.

The French Grand Slam tournament Roland Garros starts in Paris on June 26. In the first round, Nadal will play against German Alexander Zverev. During his career, the Spaniard won Roland Garros 14 times – more than any other tennis player in history.

In April, it became known that Nadal visited Russian tennis player Alina Korneeva in hospital in Barcelona. Korneeva is a graduate of the Nadal Academy.
