Khimki coach Talalaev commented on his interest in Spartak captain Dzhikia
Coach of Khimki near Moscow Andrei Talalaev commented on the club’s interest in Spartak captain Georgy Dzhikia. This was reported on the Khimki website.
“I am for the arrival of any quality player who will allow the team to improve. There is no hint of readiness to take Jikia in my words, just a statement,” Talalaev said.
On May 18, Spartak officially announced that Jikia would leave the club after the end of the current Russian Premier League (RPL) season. The defender joined the red-white squad in 2016. In total, Dzhikiya played 214 matches for the Muscovites. Together with the club, he won the Russian championship, as well as the country’s Cup and Super Cup.
Earlier, Dzhikia spoke about leaving Spartak. “If there was any offer, I would definitely stay at the club. There was no story about finances,” said the 30-year-old defender.
