Simone Inzaghi, who led Inter Milan to the 20th Italian championship title in its history, was elected the best coach of the 2023-2024 season, the Italian League announced this Friday.
Inzaghi, 48, succeeds Luciano Spalletti, who led Napoli to the Scudetto last year.
The Italian coach, at Inter since 2021, was elected by a jury made up of directors of sports publications, indicated Lega Serie A, which did not disclose the results of the votes.
“This distinction could not go to anyone other than Simone Inzaghi,” Italian League president Luigi De Siervo said in a statement.

Inter dominated the 2023-2024 season with 29 wins, six draws and just two defeats in the league. Before the start of the 38th and final round, the team has a 19 point advantage over its immediate pursuer, eternal rival Milan.
