Bologna opens three to zero, but Juventus seeks a draw in the Italian Championship

Bologna hosted Juventus for the 37th round of the Italian Championship, this Monday. In a direct duel for third place, the home team took a 3-0 lead, but ended up drawing in the end.

With the result, the two teams remain tied with 68 points, but Bologna has the advantage on goal difference and occupies third place in the table. Juventus, in turn, has gone six rounds without winning and remains in fourth place

Juventus’ next match will be this Saturday, at 1 pm (Brasília time), when they host Monza. Bologna returns to the field this Friday, at 3:45 pm, away from home, against Genoa. The two games are valid for the last round of the Italian Championship.

Bologna opened the scoring in the first minute. After a rebounded cross, Riccardo Calafiori took advantage of the rebound and scored. At 11, Urbanski raised the ball in the area and Santiago Castro rose to head it with precision.

In the second half, after a wrong ball from Juventus, Castro passed to Calafiori, who hit the ball and scored Bologna’s third goal, in the eighth minute.

Juventus’ reaction began in the 30th minute. Chiesa stole the ball in the attacking field and touched it to the goalkeeper. With a free kick, Yildiz scored the visitors’ second, at 37.

The draw came in the next play. Yildiz took advantage of a wrong ball from Bologna and hit from outside the area to give final results to the match.

In the other game this Monday in the Italian Championship, Verona beat Salernitana away from home 2-1 and guaranteed their stay in the First Division. Suslov and Folorunsho scored, while Maggiore scored.
