This Sunday, defender Thiago Silva was honored by Chelsea fans before the team’s 2-1 victory against Bournemouth, at Stamford Bridge, in the 38th round of the English Championship. The 39-year-old defender played his last game for the London club. And now, he will wear the Fluminense shirt.
“Thank you Monstro: one of us”, was written on one of the flags, with Thiago Silva wearing the Chelsea uniform and the Brazilian flag in the background.
In another, the fans praised winning the 2021 Champions League: “He came from PSG to win the Champions League.”

After the game, the Brazilian said goodbye to the fans and thanked the support he received during his time at the club.
“I would like to thank all the players, the staff, the club. Thank you very much! Thank you for all the support and for all the memories we created during these four incredible years. Now, my dream is to see my two sons play for you one day I love you so much, I’ll miss you. Goodbye!”
Thiago Silva ends his time at Chelsea with three titles won: a Champions League, a Club World Cup and a UEFA Super Cup. In total, the defender played 155 games for the English team.
The expectation is that the athlete will debut for Fluminense only in July, when the transfer window opens. However, he should start training with the team in June.
