The meeting took place in Sochi at the Fisht Olympic Stadium and ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the guests. Midfielder Nikita Krivtsov scored the first goal in the fifth minute. In the 43rd minute the score was equalized by striker Saul Guarirapa. In the 73rd minute, the Sochi team took the lead thanks to a goal from Guarirapa.
In the 84th minute, midfielder Eduard Spertsyan scored a penalty and equalized the score. In the first minute added to the second half, striker Moses Kobnan David snatched victory for Krasnodar.
Thus, after 29 matches, Krasnodar ranks second in the RPL standings, gaining 53 points, and continues the pursuit of the championship. Sochi is an outsider and is in last 16th place with 23 points. The team was relegated from the RPL. Dynamo Moscow is in the lead with 56 points.
In the next match, Krasnodar will host Dynamo Moscow, and Sochi will play away against Rubin Kazan. Both meetings will take place on May 25.
