Former world champion Denis Lebedev considers Usik the favorite in the fight with Fury
Former world heavyweight champion Denis Lebedev named the favorite in the battle between Briton Tyson Fury and Ukrainian Alexander Usik. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
“Usyk is cunning, sharp, fast, smart and hits right on the chin. Another thing is that Fury is an unconventional boxer. But Usik’s experience will help him in this division. I would give preference to him in this fight,” Lebedev said.
The fight between Fury and Usik will take place on May 18 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. For the first time in the history of boxing, four world champion titles are at stake: according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight titles.
In the run-up to the fight, the Briton provoked a conflict in a battle of views. Fury pushed Usyk and shouted something to him. After this, a brawl broke out involving teams of boxers.
