Valverde will remain at Athletic until 2025

He Athletic announced this Friday that it has reached an agreement with Ernesto Valverde to renew his contract, which ended next June, until 2025and, therefore, the Gasteiztarra will complete his ninth season as the head coach of the first team, as reported by the red and white entity.
The agreement, which includes the continuity of his coaching staff, was signed this afternoon in San Mamés with the president Jon Uriarte and the general director of Football, Mikel Gonzalezas witnesses.
Valverde has been coach of Athletic in three periods. In the first for two seasons, between 2003 and 2005, in the second for four, between 2013 and 2017, and in this third from 2022 until, in principle, 2025.
Furthermore, it is the coach who has led the most games for the red and white teamwith 395 that will be 397 at the end of this season.
