With the return of Vitor Roque, Barcelona beats Almería by Espanyol

In a commitment valid for the 36th round of the Spanish Championship, Barcelona visited Almería and won 2-0, this Thursday. Vitor Roque returned to play after a series of five matches, but the one who shone was Fermín López, scorer of the match’s goals.

With two rounds to go, in second place in the competition, Barcelona reached 79 points, four more than Girona. Relegated Almería remained with 17 points, at the bottom of the tournament.

Barcelona’s next match will be on Sunday, at 2pm (Brasília time), at Camp Nou, against Rayo Vallecano, in the Spanish Championship. At the same time, Almería visits Mallorca.

Barcelona opened the scoring in the 14th minute of the opening half. After Hector Fort’s cross from the left wing, Fermín López beat the marker at the top and headed strong to score the first of the match.

In the 22nd minute of the opening half, Almería almost equalized with Lozano, who received a pass from Jonathan Vieira inside the area and, face to face with Ter Stegen, knocked it out.

Lamine Yamal almost doubled for the visiting team at 28 in the first half. The Spanish striker stole the ball, dribbled past the marker on the baseline and finished with a right cross onto the post.

Barcelona increased the difference in the 22nd minute of the second half, again with Fermín López, who received a low cross from Sergi Roberto and completed a left-footed cross to score his second goal of the game.

Finally, six minutes later, Vitor Roque came on to replace Spaniard Ferran Torres. The Brazilian striker also received a yellow card in the 40th minute, due to a strong foul.
