CSKA goalkeeper Torop, who received a double fracture, said that he does not lose heart
CSKA goalkeeper Vladislav Torop, who received a double fracture of the facial skull bones, spoke about his condition. His words are quoted by the press service of the Moscow club.
“Of course, I don’t feel well, but I don’t lose heart. I’m more worried that we couldn’t reach the Superfinal. The guys fought today both for each other and for me – and I feel it. We are always together, always CSKA,” said Torop.
CSKA doctor Eduard Bezuglov said that the goalkeeper will most likely undergo surgery. “It is impossible to transport him by plane to Moscow, there is no question of that. Everything will be fine, we’ll find the best specialists and restore everything,” said Bezuglov.
CSKA goalkeeper Torop was seriously injured in the semi-final match of the Russian Cup against Zenit, in which the army team lost to the team from St. Petersburg in a penalty shootout and were eliminated from the tournament. The fractures were the result of a head collision with Zenit defender Nuraly Alip.
