Vinícius Júnior is nominated for the best player award in the Spanish Championship

Through its official website, LaLiga announced this Wednesday the nominees for the season’s individual awards: best player, best coach and best under-23 player. After having an excellent competition for Real Madrid, Brazilian Vinícius Júnior was one of the nominees for the best player of the tournament award.

In this season of the Spanish Championship, Vinícius Júnior was a fundamental player in Real Madrid’s title win. The 23-year-old striker played 25 games, scored 15 goals and provided six assists.

Throughout the season, Vinícius played 37 times, scored 23 goals and contributed 11 assists. In addition to the Spanish Championship, the Brazilian won the Spanish Super Cup and is in the Champions League final.

Two other Brazilians are also on the list of nominees. Rodrygo, from Real Madrid, and Savinho, from Girona, are competing for the award for best under-23 player. Rodrygo played in 32 Spanish Championship matches, scored ten goals and provided five assists. Savinho played 35 games, scored eight goals and provided nine assists.

The award winners will be presented at a ceremony on May 28th in Italy.
