In good form at Roma, Paulo Dybala attracts interest from Atlético de Madrid

In search of rejuvenating its player squad, the Atlético de Madrid aims to sign Paulo Dybala, striker of the Roma. According to the Italian media and the Spanish newspaper Sports worldthe Roman club is considering the Argentine’s departure at the end of this season and the Spanish team could make an attack.

The Argentine striker’s release clause with Roma is 12 million euros (around R$66.62 million at current prices). Atlético de Madrid understands that, if the Italian club wants to trade Dybala, the value can be adjusted.

With a contract valid with Roma until mid-2025, the world champion with Argentina in 2022 will turn 31 in November.

This season, Dybala put 16 balls into the net and distributed nine assists in 37 games. Along with Roma, the striker stopped in the semi-finals of this edition of the Europa League, being defeated by Bayer Leverkusen. In the Italian Championship, the team occupies sixth place, with 60 points in 36 rounds.

According to the Spanish newspaper, with the exception of French star Griezmann, Atlético de Madrid’s other attackers could leave the club, as they are open to negotiations if a good offer arrives for them. Álvaro Morata, Memphis Depay and Ángel Correa could leave at the end of this season.
