The French cyclist of the team Decathlon AG2R Valentin Paret-Peintre ha cattle this Tuesday the tenth stage of the 2024 Giro d’Italiain Bocca della Selvain a 1st category portin a day after which the Slovenian from UAE Emirates Tadej Pogacar has not had any major problems maintaining his leadership in the general classification of the Giroand, consequently, continue with the pink jersey.
Paret-Peintre was the strongest of the day’s breakaway, and, with an attack about three kilometers from the finish line, in the final stretch of the climb in which he finished the stage, he left Romain Bardet behind ( DSM), with whom he was chasing the Slovenian from Visma Leasea Bike Jan Tratnik, and has quickly caught up with the latter, to be the winner.
The French rider has thus achieved his first victory as a professional, on a day in which the peloton remained without differences between the favorites.
This Wednesdaythe Giro d’Italia will face its eleventh stage, between Foiano di Val Fortore and Francavilla al Marewith 207 kilometers tour, which will once again provide the sprinters a chance of victory, after several difficult days for them.
