Fitness trainer Sobol: lack of warm-up and cool-down leads to joint pain
Fitness expert Elena Sobol explained why joint pain may occur after training. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
Sobol stated that the main cause of discomfort is excessive stress on the joints. The cause may be excessive weights, lack of rest, or incorrect exercise technique. Diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as arthrosis, arthritis, scoliosis or osteoporosis, can also provoke discomfort during and after training.
In addition, lack of warm-up and cool-down can lead to pain. “It is very important to prepare the body for the upcoming physical activity, and then “calm” it down. It’s a pity that many people ignore these important parts of the training process,” Sobol noted.
Earlier, neurologist Ekaterina Demyanovskaya named basic exercises for joint pain. She advised doing rotations with the hands and arms, circular movements with the knees, lifting the legs 90 degrees and a number of other movements.
