Atlético-MG returns to the field this Tuesday, for the fifth round of Group G of the Libertadores. The miners visit Peñarol-URU, at 7pm (Brasília time), at the Campeón del Siglo Stadium, in Montevideo.
Galo is already qualified for the round of 16. Now, the team wants to confirm the leadership of group G. To do this, they just need to draw the game.
However, Atlético-MG is aiming for another victory in the competition to continue with 100% success. The Minas Gerais team are looking to have the best campaign in the group stage to have the advantage of defining the knockout matches at home until the final.
Coach Gabriel Milito will once again count on the offensive trio formed by Scarpa, Paulinho and Hulk. The team arrives rested for the clash, as their game against Grêmio, in the Brazilian Championship, was postponed.
On the other hand, Peñarol needs a good result to continue depending only on themselves to advance in the Libertadores. The Uruguayans are in second place in the group, with six points, just two more than Rosário Central-ARG.
