Valieva, disqualified for doping, will perform in Navka’s show “Ruslan and Lyudmila”
Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva will perform in the show “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by Olympic champion Tatyana Navka. The announcement was published in the Navka Show Telegram channel.
What role Valieva will play is not specified. Also taking part in the show will be Alina Zagitova, Dmitry Solovyov, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, Margarita Drobyazko and Povilas Vanagas, Maxim Kovtun, Maurice Kvitelashvili.
On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules. The period of suspension starts on December 25, 2021. She lost gold at the European Championships and the team tournament at the 2022 Olympic Games.
After this, Valieva interrupted training with Eteri Tutberidze and was excluded from the Russian national team. The athlete announced her participation in an ice show in China in the leading role.
