Euskaraz irakurri: Iraolak 2026ra arte luzatu du kontratua Bournemouth taldearekin

The usurbildarra Andoni Iraola has renewed his contract with Bournemouth until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

The Gipuzkoan coach, who made his debut in the Premier League this season, has achieved the points record for the Cherries in the highest category of English football, with 48 and one game to play, surpassing the 46 they achieved with Eddie Howe in the 2016-2017 campaign.

The previous contract of Iraolawhich arrived in the summer from Rayo Vallecano, expired in 2025.

Although the start of the season was bad, with just three points in the first nine games, Iraola took off again in October with a streak of seven consecutive games without losing, which included a victory by 0-3 at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

The Basque coach was chosen as the competition’s best coach in March and is among the nominees for the best coach of the year award, along with Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp and Unai Emery.
