Juventus draws with Salernitana in the Italian and still does not qualify for the Champions League

Looking to advance their qualification to the Champions League, Juventus hosted Salernitana this Sunday in the Italian Championship. The result ended up tied 1-1.

Juve came to the field at the Allianz Stadium wanting to beat the last placed team and seek to secure themselves in the next edition of the Champions League. With the draw, the Turin team depends on Roma dropping points in at least one of their three remaining games.

THE GAME

The match started evenly, with both teams commanding offensive actions. Salernitana opened the scoring in the 27th minute, with Italian Pierozzi heading in after a corner.

With the second half came great dominance from Juventus, who controlled the game and came close to a draw on several occasions, without success.

Juve’s equalizer only came in the 46th minute of the second half, with Adrien Rabiot taking a free kick after a deflection in the small area.
