Akhmat footballer Mohamed Konate said that he likes Chechen dumplings
Mohamed Konate, forward of Grozny’s Akhmat and the Burkina Faso national football team, named a special dish from Chechnya. His words are quoted by Sport24.
The foreign athlete said that he likes Chechen cuisine, and especially dumplings. “Nowhere else are dumplings prepared like this. I tried to find it in Moscow – I loved borscht there, but nothing like Chechen dumplings,” the footballer added.
Earlier, Konate boasted about his salary at the Grozny club. He called the payments candy.
Konate first came to Russia in 2016, signing a contract with the RPL club Ural. Later he played for Tambov and Khimki. In 2021, the forward became a football player for Akhmat. His contract with the team was signed for one season with the option of extending for two more. In 2023, he received a Russian passport. His wife is a native of Siberia.
