Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Khabib Nurmagomedov owes the tax authorities more than 300 million rubles. This became known to the Mash Telegram channel.
According to the source, the exact amount of the debt is 306,242,929 rubles. The Federal Tax Service (FTS) began an audit of the athlete’s businesses and blocked some of the accounts, including the accounts of the Eagle FC fight league and a charitable foundation associated with him.
As Mash notes, Nurmagomedov is currently investing in hotels in Turkey and startups in the UAE. This activity also interested the Federal Tax Service.
Previously, Nurmagomedov compared life with and without money. He stated that life is happier without money and called it a problem.
Nurmagomedov defended the UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional fights in mixed martial arts. After finishing his performances, Nurmagomedov began coaching. In 2022, MMA Junkie named him the best trainer of the year.
