Postponed Italian match between Atalanta and Fiorentina will be played on June 2

The game of the 29th round of the Italian Championship between Atalanta and Fiorentina, postponed in March, has been rescheduled for June 2nd. This Friday, Serie A announced that the match will take place after the last round of the season.

Rescheduling this match was a headache, as both teams qualified for the European finals. Atalanta will play in the Europa League final (May 22, against Bayer Leverkusen) and Fiorentina in the Conference League final (May 29, against Olympiacos).

Atalanta will also play in the Italian Cup final, against Juventus, next Wednesday, May 15th.

The last round of the Italian Championship, on May 26th, will therefore not be able to define the places for the next Champions League.

Atalanta is currently in fifth place (60 points), the last place that guarantees a place in the continental tournament, with the same points as Roma, which is in sixth place.

Atalanta and Roma face each other this Sunday, in the 36th round of the Italian Championship.
