Former UFC champion Cormier called Islam Makhachev a rich guy
Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Daniel Cormier, in an interview with the ESPN MMA YouTube channel, spoke about how Russian Islam Makhachev lives.
The UFC legend called the athlete a rich guy. “I give my word – I talked to this guy via video call. He is now in Dubai – he has a golden toilet there! 24 carat gold! He’s insanely rich! – he said.
In his last fight, Makhachev defeated Australian Alex Volkanovski by knockout and defended the UFC lightweight champion title for the second time in his career. The Russian was recognized as the best fighter of the organization in 2023. On June 1, Makhachev will defend his title again in a fight against Poirier at UFC 302 in the USA.
After this, Makhachev plans to fight with the Russian-Armenian fighter Arman Tsarukyan. Tsarukyan is ranked first in the UFC lightweight rankings. Makhachev is in first place in the non-weight category rankings.
