O Real Madrid qualified this Wednesday (8) for the Champions League final by winning Bayern Munich won 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the continental tournament, with two goals from Joselu.
Real Madrid, after a new exercise of resistance, returns to the Champions League final two years after the one in which they beat Liverpool in Paris and won their 14th European champion title.
“It happened again, it’s something inexplicable, it’s the magic of this club, of a fan who supports a fantastic stadium and of players who don’t stop believing that something magical can be done”, said Carlo Ancelotti, who also praised Vinícius Júnior.
“What (Vinicius) contributed in this semi-final can be done by few players, now there is a final in which he will be the protagonist,” said Ancelotti.
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Munich, Canadian Alphonso Davies opened the scoring for Bayern with a great cross-kick, but Joselu’s goals in the last minutes gave Real Madrid a ticket to Wembley, where they will face in the final Borussia Dortmund, who beat Paris Saint-Germain (1-0) in the French capital on Tuesday.
