Colo Colo coach shows confidence for duel with Fluminense

Current champion, the Fluminense, which has not yet taken off in the 2024 edition of the Copa Libertadores, will seek a victory in Chile against Colo Colo this Thursday (9) to consolidate its leadership in Group A. However, the Chileans demonstrate confidence in the search for a positive result.

“They were surprised when we went to Brazil, we played a good game. I think they respect us, we are going to play at home and the support of the fans will help us”, Colo Colo coach Jorge Almirón said at a press conference.

The Rio team only managed one victory in their first three games, but leads the group with five points. The only triumph was against Colo Colo at Maracanã (2-1).

The game will be played at the Monumental stadium in Santiago from 9pm (Brasília time).

The Chilean team is second in the group with four points and an advantage in the number of goals scored over Cerro Porteño, while the bottom team is Alianza Lima with two points.
