Plushenko said that Putin emanated amazing energy at the inauguration
Olympic figure skating champion Evgeni Plushenko commented on the inauguration of re-elected Russian President Vladimir Putin. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Plushenko said that Putin emanated an amazing aura and energy. “People trust our leader with their lives and country. Only with him will we overcome all difficulties,” he added, noting that the ceremony was grandiose.
On May 7, Putin officially took office as president of Russia for the fifth time, for a six-year term. Chairman of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin announced his appointment at the inauguration.
The ceremony took place in the Grand Kremlin Palace. The event was attended by the President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner, figure skater Kamila Valieva, swimmer Evgeny Rylov, as well as other Russian athletes.
