Olympic champion Kabaeva called it important that Putin relies on the Russians
Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Alina Kabaeva commented on the inauguration of the re-elected President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Her words are quoted by Metaratings.
Kabaeva called it important that Putin relies not on foreign countries, but on Russians. “This is the key to all our successes and victories. It’s great that the people supported the president and supported his policies,” she said.
On May 7, Putin officially took office as president of Russia for the fifth time, for a six-year term. Chairman of the Constitutional Court Valery Zorkin announced his appointment at the inauguration.
The ceremony took place in the Grand Kremlin Palace. The event was attended by the President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner, figure skater Kamila Valieva, swimmer Evgeny Rylov, as well as other Russian athletes.
