The authorities showed interest in the young goalkeeper for several weeks now. Both sides have reportedly held preliminary talks on this subject, but in the end the outstanding figure of the team from Mielec will not move to the capital. Everything indicates that the young goalkeeper will go abroad.
Rafał Strączek will go abroad
– Together with Rafał, we decided that it would be best for him to finish the season in Stal, gain more experience, and then try his hand at a foreign club. The talks are ongoing. I can confirm that if nothing unexpected happens, the player will go to one of the leading European leagues – said the goalkeeper’s agent in an interview with the Meczyki.pl portal.
At the moment, it is not clear which league is meant, and which club Strączek could contribute. It is known, however, that the young goalkeeper will continue to play until the end of this season.
Rafał Strączek as a certain point in Stal’s goal
Apart from the first three rounds of the league, in which Michał Gliwa defended access to Stal Mielec’s goal, he had a certain place in the starting line-up in subsequent league matches. In 16 games played, the 22-year-old allowed 22 goals and was able to keep a clean sheet five times.
Strączek made his first steps in his football career in the youth teams of UKS SMS Łódź and JKS 1909 Jarosław. He joined the team from Mielec at the beginning of February 2017, first on a loan and six months later for a permanent one. In the next two seasons, he was loaned to Wólczanka Wólka Pełkińska and Motor Lublin.
