Ex-adviser to Spartak owner Camozzi: Dzyuba does not correspond to the league level
Ex-adviser to former Spartak owner Leonid Fedun Franco Camozzi believes that Lokomotiv striker Artem Dzyuba should leave the Russian Premier League (RPL). RB Sport writes about this.
“I think it’s time for Dzyuba to leave Lokomotiv and leave the RPL. It’s probably better to go to another league where it will be easier for him to play. Artem did a lot in Russian football, was an excellent striker and a great player in his time. But now he is no longer showing the same level,” Camozzi said.
This RPL season, 34-year-old Dzyuba played 26 matches for Lokomotiv in all tournaments, scored 4 goals and gave 4 assists. The forward’s contract with the railway workers runs until the end of the 2023/2024 season with the option of extending for another season.
Earlier it became known about Lokomotiv’s intention to get rid of Dzyuba after the end of this season. It was noted that during the conversation, the head coach of the Moscow team, Mikhail Galaktionov, told Dziuba that he was not putting him in the lineup not because he did not want to see him there, but because he was out of shape.
