Tennis player Sabalenka: after tournaments there is no opportunity to relax or drink

The second racket of the world in women’s singles (WTA), Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, said that after tournaments she does not have time to relax and have a little drink. She spoke about this at a press conference after the Masters final in Madrid.

“I have an early flight in the morning, so I probably won’t sleep. The only thing I can think about is that I’m ready to eat pasta, pizza and a lot of ice cream. In tennis, everything happens very quickly – we don’t have enough time to relax, have fun or drink,” Sabalenka said.

In the final of the prestigious Masters series tournament in Madrid, the Belarusian tennis player lost to the world’s first racket from Poland, Iga Szwiatek. The match lasted three hours.

On May 3, Russian Andrei Rublev reached the final of the men’s tournament in Madrid. In the decisive match he will play with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. The meeting will take place on May 5.
