Fitness expert Kanevsky: if you have hypertension, intense cardio training is prohibited
Fitness expert Eduard Kanevsky spoke about workouts prohibited for hypertension. His words are quoted by Moscow 24.
Kanevsky recommended avoiding intense cardio training: running, jumping rope, or any aerobic activity that increases your heart rate. Instead, he advised doing yoga, Pilates, water aerobics or swimming.
“You need to exercise with caution in the gym: you can’t work with heavy weights (when you perform less than 12 repetitions), static exercises are prohibited (plank, chair), you can’t perform exercises when your head is lower than your body (hyperextension, abdominal exercises),” added specialist. In addition, Kanevsky recommended refusing to participate in sparring in martial arts.
Earlier, trainer Alena Gribanova spoke about types of fitness prohibited for pregnant women. The expert explained that high-intensity and strength training are contraindicated.
