Chelsea hosted Tottenham this Thursday, in a delayed game for the 26th round of the English Championship. The duel between the London teams ended better for the blues, who won 2-0.

Tottenham, therefore, is in fifth place, with 60 points, seven less than Aston Villa, who complete the group of Champions League qualifiers and still have a game in hand. Chelsea now has 51 points and moves up to eighth place, entering the fight for a place in the Conference League.

The match began with Chelsea’s dominance, who scored the first goal in the 24th minute, with defender Chalobah finishing with a header after a free kick.

The teams came into the second half very different, with Tottenham taking control of the match, but without converting their opportunities.

More efficient, Chelsea reached the second after another free kick. The team’s top scorer, Cole Palmer hit the crossbar and Senegalese Nicolas Jackson converted the rebound with a header, in the 27th minute of the second half.
