Spartak sports director Amaral: Slishkovic is applying for the post of head coach
Spartak sports director Tomas Amaral made a statement about the candidates for the post of head coach of the club. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
Amaral said that acting head coach Vladimir Sliskovich will help the team until the end of the season. “I’ll reveal one point – Vladimir will continue to work at Spartak – no matter in what role,” he noted.
Amaral added that the head coach of the Russian national team and Rostov, Valery Karpin, is not on the short list for the position at Spartak. In addition, the former coach of the national team, Stanislav Cherchesov, is not applying for the post.
On April 14, Guillermo Abascal was fired from the post of head coach of Spartak. He has been working with the red-whites since the summer of 2022. In the 2022/2023 season, the team under his leadership became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship.
